BJA-Funded Grant Programs
Justice & Security Strategies, Inc. (JSS) is the Direct Support Program partner for the Small, Rural, and Tribal Grant.

FY 2024 Grant Program
The Bureau of Justice Assistance funded 12 law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies to combat violence within their communities. These initiatives target drug-related crime and gang violence, while also supporting victim advocacy, community engagement, and improved cross-jurisdictional coordination.

FY 2023 Grant Program
BJA funded 37 law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies to support violence reduction projects. These initiatives focus on reducing firearms and domestic violence, enhancing crime prevention, and utilizing tools such as license plate readers. gunshot detection software, and a variety of community engagement efforts.
Problem-Oriented Policing Through SARA
For 40 years, the SARA (Scanning, Analysis, Response and Assessment) model has proven to be an effective approach to solving law enforcement problems. A webinar describing the SARA process is available here and on the JSS website.
Justice & Security Strategies as the TTA Provider
JSS is your Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) provider for the Violent Crime Reduction grant through the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and is here to help you implement your SARA and POP strategy.
